As the summer is quickly fading and the nights are drawing in, it is time to take care of your skin as the season changes.
The varying weather, change of temperature, hot baths and air conditioning lead to all sorts of skin distress. Humidity levels in the air tend to fall in the autumn and winter seasons, and the dry air has a tendency to strip skin of moisture. The result? Irritated, dry skin that’s prone to sensitivity.
This transition between seasons can have a negative effect on delicate skin, so we need to take care of our biggest organ and protect it through this turbulent time!
Focus on Ingredients
Take a look at the products you’re putting on your skin – do they contain ingredients that will nourish and benefit, or harmful chemicals which could irritate or damage your skin? Look for calming and de-stressing ingredients to de-sensitive and hydrate.
Stay Hydrated
Dehydration can often show in our complexion – puffy eyes and fine lines can the result of this. As the change in weather is taking moisture from your skin, ensure you are drinking enough water to keep it healthy from the inside out.
Moisturise regularly
Get into the routine of moisturising your skin twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. Simply cleanse and tone, then hydrate your skin with your favourite Day Cream or Night Cream. Don’t forget to take care of your body too – treat your skin to a new Body Lotion to keep dryness and sensitivity at bay.
