Due to the global health emergency, everyone is called to stay at home with the aim of preventing the proliferation of the disease from continuing. Although many currently work remotely, others have free time for other activities. Reading a book, watching movies and exercising are among the recreational options that we can develop at home. However, at this time it is also possible to dedicate a space to take care of our skin and feel better. If you can´t go to Spa, the Spa comes to you!
We will share 3 amazing scrubs for your face and body with ingredients you can find on your kitchen!
Banana and Sugar Scrub
Bananas are a great natural choice for body care. Its creamy pulp is delicious and relaxing. It is nourishing and hydrating and can be used for gentle exfoliation and skin tightening. In this simple formula, Banana and Sugar combine for a body or facial scrub. When the bananas are starting to turn black they are perfect for this recipe.
- 1 ripe banana
- 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon of essential oil.
Mix the ingredients with a fork (don't mash it too much as it will get very thin). If you want to use it on the face, save a little banana and mash it without sugar. In the shower, place the mixture on your skin and massage your entire body. Rinse with lukewarm water.
Rose and Sugar Scrub
For a long time, rose petals have been used in different beauty products. Sugar scrubs are already great for your skin, but this Rose Sugar Scrub is even better for the skin than most. Now you can nourish and heal your skin while smelling like roses!
- 1/4 cup organic coconut oil
- 14 or 15 chemical-free rose petals
- 1 and a half cups of white sugar (you can use brown).
Microwave coconut oil for about 30 seconds or until melted. Not over hot.
Add the coconut oil, roses, and sugar in a blender or food processor.
Mix everything for two or three seconds just so that everything comes together.
Do not liquefy it too much so that it does not become liquid. We want to have a sandy mix.
Lemon, Sugar and Honey Scrub
Sugar will simulate the granules or microspheres like any exfoliate. Lemon contains Alpha Hydroxide Acid, a natural acid that works as an excellent exfoliant and helps remove dead skin cells. While Honey is a natural antioxidant and antibacterial. Thanks to its properties, this scrub helps you hydrate and care for your skin. You can also use it as a mask.
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Tablespoon of Honey
- 2 Tablespoon of Sugar
Mix a tablespoon of honey with the juice of the lemon and sugar until is compact.
Place your face in a pot of boiling water. In this way the steam will open your pores and you can do a deeper cleaning. Apply it all over the face and avoid the eye area. Let the skin absorb the mask for 15 minutes. Then wash with warm water and finish with a little cold water to close the pores.
Don´t forget to always before applying any of the masks or scrubs to clean your face with your daily cleaning product, micellar water, cleaning gel, etc first. To finish, moisturize with facial moisturizer. Enjoy your smooth and renewed skin!
